My stay at Oaks Hyde Park Plaza had its ups and downs. The room had some issues with the door lock but having a kitchen and a separate bedroom was a plus. However, the view of the ugly rooftop car park was not what I expected. The lack of an oven, ongoing appliance issues, and a room change halfway through my stay affected my overall experience.

I found the hotel in a great location, conveniently at the junction of Liverpool Street and Oxford Street and a short walk from the railway station. The rooms, although a bit worn, were clean, spacious, and warm, providing everything I needed. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, but could improve their knowledge. The rooftop offered amazing views, but unfortunately, there were some unpleasant smells in the air. The dining experience was great, except for some road noise at night. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a mixed experience at the hotel. Despite being conveniently located with easy access to lifts and well-stocked supermarkets, it was disappointing to see ongoing construction and the need for a fresh coat of paint. The rooms were rather dated, marked walls, damaged furniture, and unkempt with dust and hair. On the positive side, the reception staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful during a fire alarm incident. However, some members seemed inexperienced and not well-versed in hospitality norms.

While the dining options were decent, the noise from the road at night was a slight inconvenience. Overall, a stay with some hiccups but redeemed by the prime location.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the train, shops, and restaurants, making it a practical choice for travelers.
