Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Oaks Hyde Park Plaza was a mixed experience. The hotel is conveniently located near the city center and offers impressive views of Hyde Park, but the room I booked specifically for its oven turned out to lack proper kitchen facilities. The service staff was extremely helpful and professional, although the cleanliness in the foyer was disappointing after a fire alarm. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with noticeable road noise at night, and the facilities overall were satisfactory.
The hotel served its purpose well based on location, number of rooms, and value for money. However, the rooms were very outdated and not clean, lacking attention to detail and not matching the website images. On the upside, the service was lovely and welcoming.
The hotel had everything I needed in the rooms, including free wifi and kitchen facilities, but there was a musty smell upon arrival. The large twin beds joined to make a king bed were comfortable overall.
My stay was a mixed experience. The hotel did not service our room during the two nights we were there, which was disappointing. However, the room was ready upon arrival. The free wifi was a nice touch, similar to other hotels I've stayed at in Australia lately.
The hotel is conveniently located near Hyde Park and major transportation hubs, offering easy access to various attractions. The rooms are in need of updating but clean and spacious. The service was a mix of helpful assistance and unfriendliness. The dining experience was good but noisy at night. Overall, a suitable choice for those wanting proximity to key city areas.
My stay at Oaks Hyde Park Plaza had its ups and downs. The room had some issues with the door lock but having a kitchen and a separate bedroom was a plus. However, the view of the ugly rooftop car park was not what I expected. The lack of an oven, ongoing appliance issues, and a room change halfway through my stay affected my overall experience.
I found the hotel in a great location, conveniently at the junction of Liverpool Street and Oxford Street and a short walk from the railway station. The rooms, although a bit worn, were clean, spacious, and warm, providing everything I needed. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, but could improve their knowledge. The rooftop offered amazing views, but unfortunately, there were some unpleasant smells in the air. The dining experience was great, except for some road noise at night. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a mixed experience at the hotel. Despite being conveniently located with easy access to lifts and well-stocked supermarkets, it was disappointing to see ongoing construction and the need for a fresh coat of paint. The rooms were rather dated, marked walls, damaged furniture, and unkempt with dust and hair. On the positive side, the reception staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful during a fire alarm incident. However, some members seemed inexperienced and not well-versed in hospitality norms.
My stay at Oaks Hyde Park Plaza had its ups and downs. The rooms were a bit of a letdown initially, with a persistent smell that led to a room change halfway through my stay. However, the rooms were spacious with a huge balcony and fantastic air conditioning. The service, on the other hand, was a mixed bag with a lack of interest from the reception initially but improved drastically with helpful and pleasant staff. The location was a major highlight, being central to the city and within walking distance to major attractions and a variety of restaurants. While the dining options were decent, the noise from the road at night was a slight inconvenience. Overall, a stay with some hiccups but redeemed by the prime location.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the train, shops, and restaurants, making it a practical choice for travelers. The room had some issues with the door lock, but once resolved, it was just okay. Electrical outlets needed updating, with exposed wires presenting a safety concern. The hotel's slightly off-center location saves it from excessive city noise but still within reach of major landmarks.
